Welcome
Elizabeth greets you with harmony and kindness
Not to mention a bright beautiful smile
Tango was her musical selection tonight
'To set the air of fluidity' she declared
For all who choose to join tonight
One by one the congregation rolled in
Smile
Welcome
Smile
With a gentle sway across the hard wooden floors each drifted
To their own little patch of waiting bliss
As the scent of incense and flowers reached their sense
Breathe
Let's all begin with a breath
She whispered but you heard with your whole being now
And the sound turns to Om
Magical musical Aum
Now the candle light flickers as she guides us into practice
Centred in our breathing
Relaxed, comfortable, aware of our breathing
We work through our awareness into visualisation
Till we are all simply bright beautiful balls of light
A room full of orbs
Reaching up to the skies
Breathe
Shine
Flow
Bend, Stretch, Glide, Reach, Jump, Hold, Release, it begins
Breathe
Listen to your body and sink into I-am-ness
Breathe
Be one with your Dharma (self-discipline) through Dhyana (meditation)
Breathe
Rise up, forward bend, look up,
Downward dog, Extended, Child, Cat tilt, Dog Tilt, Rabbit to Gracious to name a few
The list goes one and one intuitively
All rhythmically moving with the wind breaking through the Aum
In unison reaching up to the sky
It comes to our attention
A lightning storm is taking shape outside
This is Bliss
We were dancing with Mother Nature
From Eagle to Tree through to Warrior III we glided
Half Moon, Crescent Moon, Extended Sides, Prayer Twists into Side Plank we flow
Breathe, Bring back your awareness
Locust, Fish and Crocodile, Cobra, Plank and Boat we try
And on and on and Aum
Until the stands
Then Savasana
Is it that time already?
With her Indian twists and sometimes a dancers treat, This class is always Bliss
And your participation is requested in a gentle manner
Closing Prayers:
Om
Om Lokaha Samastaha Sukino Bhavantu
Lokaha Samastaha Sukino Bhavantu
Om Shanti, Shanti, Shantihi
Om Sri Gurubhyo Namaha Harihi Aum
Namaste!
Th night sky we found on exit
My camera didn't capture the light show that came with it
But that memory I hold.
